I've had the opportunity to coach some amazing people throughout the years: cancer survivors, expecting moms, budding athletes. I've built the strength and trust of underserved individuals: BIPOC youth, LGBTQ+ communities, and the differently abled. I'm forever grateful for each person who puts their health in my hands.

I started working with Slater Nelson in April, 2020 while receiving chemotherapy and during radiation therapy for breast cancer. During this period Slater did an excellent job in tailoring my workouts to help my body recover from the treatments.
I continued receiving personal training from Slater once I finished the treatments. They tailored my workouts at that point to help me regain and improve my strength, flexibility, endurance and even mental perseverance.
I am now challenging myself to run in a 5k race and Slater is tailoring my workouts once again, this time to support this goal.
They design challenging workouts and have shown great creativity in making the exercises interesting. They customize exercises when needed to accommodate my physical limitations like an arthritic knee, which I really appreciate. I am truly amazed at how far I’ve progressed in the months I’ve been working with them.
I highly recommend Slater Nelson as an exceptional personal trainer. They are very knowledgeable and a positive motivator who has pushed me to accomplish far more than I would have if I worked out on my own.
